Cause for celebration - For me at least

I PASSED! For those unaware, I've been studying online to take my CompTIA Network+ exam. I did so this past Monday and scored an 832 out of 900 (100 questions, 9 points per question). One certification down....WAY too many to go. Next up is my Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Windows 7 Deployment. (Exam 70-680, Configuring Windows 7). I've already started watching the video series and hope to be taking the exam around the first of March. In health news, I found out that my neck has grown an alarming amount of arthritis. I'm currently in physical therapy, including cervical traction. Surgery to remove the arthritic growth is a po

So what the hell

So I've got my third knee surgery tomorrow. You'd think that after three previous surgeries (two knee surgeries and an oral surgery) that I'd be used to this, right? WRONG! I'm about half freaked out, once again musing on my own mortality. I hate the fact that I'm 27 years old and have a busted knee, I hate that nothing they actually do tomorrow will really make it any better, and I hate that I'm going to make a complete ass out of myself when they wake me up after the surgery. How am I going to make an ass out of myself, you ask? Simple. Every time I've had knee surgery, I've come out of the anesthesia first swinging on anybody near me...

Update: Brett Jackson

I'm sure y'all remember my previous entries when I was up in arms about the treatment of a young boy named Brett Jackson. Sadly, Brett has lost his fight and died at 1:10PM EST on 2/27/2009, thankfully surrounded by his family. My heart goes out to the Jackson's, I could never imagine the nightmare of losing a child.
